Eileen T. Reynolds, age 91, of North Andover, formerly a long-time resident of Andover, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2018, with her loving family at her side.

Eileen was born in Boston, MA on May 7, 1926; she was the cherished only child of George and Sarah Reynolds. Eileen was raised and educated in Roxbury and a graduate of Roxbury Memorial High School.

In 1950, Eileen married the “love of her life” Paul J. Reynolds, who served in the United States Marine Corps. Eileen was very proud of her husband’s military career as he worked his way through the ranks before he retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. Eileen and Paul were married for over 42 years and had many wonderful times together before his untimely passing in 1992.

Early in their marriage the couple resided in California after Paul returned from a two year tour of duty serving in the Korean War. Eventually the couple moved back East to be closer to their families. Eileen and Paul lived in East Hampton for several years before settling in Andover in 1968; where they raised two wonderful children Mark and Lisa. Eileen showered her family with unconditional love and support; she was an amazing mother and cherished every moment with her children. Eileen and her family had many great times at their summer home in Harwichport, MA and at their ski chalet in North Conway, NH. In her spare time, Eileen enjoyed traveling the world with her family and friends, playing bridge and dancing.

Eileen’s kindness and compassion reached out to family, extended family, and friends. She cared for others who were ill with patience and love. Eileen volunteered much of her time to the Lawrence General Hospital Gift Shop and Thrift Shop, and the New England Home for Little Wanderers; she just loved to help people and shower them with kindness.

Eileen will be fondly remembered as a beautiful lady inside and out. She had a tremendous love for life and an unfailing sense of humor. Her talent for making those around her aware of how special they are truly made her an angel on earth. She will forever be missed by all who knew and loved her.
