Michael H. MacMillan, “Mike”, age 63, of Wilmington, passed away unexpectedly on October 19, 2018. Michael was the beloved husband of Robin L. (Dionne) MacMillan, devoted father of Colin MacMillan of Billerica and Korey Brand of Vermont, step-father of Patrick Merchant & wife Valerie of Lynn. Loving “Papa” of Connor, Leighla and Everett. Cherished son of the late Elva (Farnham) Donnelly and Malcolm and Patricia (Gibbs) MacMillan, dear brother of Karen Tanguay & husband John of Billerica, Rick Tanner & wife Julie of Shapleigh, ME, Christine Piche & husband Bruce of Sandown, NH, Joelle Donnelly of Lowell, Joe Donnelly & wife Jamie of Chelmsford, the late Nadine Bannister and Laura Tanner. Michael is also survived by his “special aunty” Carol Callan, several brothers and sisters-in-law as well as many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather for a Funeral Service at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington on Wednesday, October 24th at 10:30 a.m. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington. Visiting Hours will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 23rd from 4:00-8:00 p.m.

Michael proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1973 – 1982.

Israel was the devoted father of Adora Vega of Tewksbury, loving “Papa” of Liliana Brozonos, cherished son of Herminia (Luciano) Vega and the late Benjamin Vega of Billerica, dear brother of Louis A. “Tony” Vega of Billerica, the late Louis F. Vega, Benjamin Vega, Jr. and Jose A. Vega. Israel is also survived by his former wife Mary Vega and loving friends, Derrick Brozonos, Meghan Haney, Melissa Houghton, Melinda Hogle Bernbaum and children, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Kevin T. Tully, age 68, of Malden, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2018, at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital.

Kevin was the beloved son of the late Francis and Margaret (Sullivan) Tully, dear brother of Rev. Eugene Tully of Wilmington and the late Gerald “Jerry” Tully, brother-in-law of Judith Tully of Wilmington, loving Uncle of Karen Richardson of Tewksbury, Brian Tully of York, ME, John Tully of Wilmington, Mark Tully & his wife Nancy of Foxboro and Maura Puleo & her husband Robert of Chesterfield, VA. Kevin is also survived his aunt Margaret Tully as well as many great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Family and friends will gather at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, on Wednesday, October 31st at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 126 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington at 10:00 a.m. Interment Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. James M. Bruce, “Jimmy”, age 28 of Wilmington and Tewksbury, passed away on October 26, 2018.

Jimmy came into this world on November 28, 1989, in Nashua, New Hampshire; he was the cherished son of Jim and Lori Bruce. Jimmy was raised and educated in Tewksbury, MA and was a graduate of Tewksbury High School with the Class of 2008.

Jimmy was in his second year apprenticeship with the Electrician’s Union Local 103 and was very proud to be a part of this organization. Jimmy worked hard and was eager to learn; he often spoke about the new things he was learning at work and enjoyed talking about his accomplishments with his family and friends.

Jimmy had a strong sense of commitment when it came to going to the gym and working out. He had a great physical strength and enjoyed participating in mixed martial arts.

Jimmy was known to have an inner strength and determination; much like his grandmother Judy, when he made up his mind to do something he did it and did it well.

Jimmy will be fondly remembered for his love of history, his great sense of humor and most of all his compassion towards others; he was never one to judge people and treated everyone with kindness and respect. Jimmy also had a soft side when it came to animals especially his dogs.

Jimmy loved his family and friends unconditionally; especially his parents and grandparents who simply adored him. Jimmy was a “great kid” who brought a lot of light and laughter into the world and he will forever be in the hearts of those who loved him.

Jimmy was the cherished son of James and Lori (Duggan) Bruce of Holderness, NH, formerly of Tewksbury, MA, beloved Grandson of Joan and the late Chester “Chet” Bruce and the late Joseph and Judy Duggan. Dear nephew of April Bruce, Lori Hodgson, Chip Bruce, Scott and Brenda Bruce, Joey and Carla Duggan, Frank and Maria Mearls ,Marilyn Cunningham, David and Lauren Bruce and Roger Creamer. Jimmy is also survived by many great aunts and uncles, cousins and friends.

Henry J. “Jimmy” Andella, Jr.

Henry J. “Jimmy” Andella, Jr., age 70, of Tewksbury, formerly of Quincy, passed away on November 5, 2018 at the Woodbriar Nursing Center in Wilmington.

Jimmy was born on October 19, 1948 in Boston, MA; he was the cherished son of the late Henry J. and Doris (Loder) Andella, Sr. Jimmy was raised and educated in Somerville.

Jimmy married Debra (Hayes) Andella on December 31, 1976. The couple moved to Quincy, where they lived for 34 years before moving to Tewksbury. Jimmy and Deb shared many wonderful memories together.

Jimmy owned a Gas/Service Station for several years before becoming a Printer at Grenier Print Shop. Jimmy started his own business, Andella Printing, with his brother Eugene “Sonny” Andella. The brothers worked for many years servicing their customers and making many friends along with the way.

In his younger years, Jimmy enjoyed being the mechanic on his buddy’s race car and his many trips to New England Dragway in Epping NH. Jimmy loved to go pheasant hunting with family and friends, especially in the fall. Jimmy had a passion for motorcycles and his many dogs especially his Harley Davidson and beloved pug Angel.

Jimmy was the beloved husband of Debra (Hayes) Andella, father of Frederick Andella & his wife Stacy of Stoughton, loving “Papa” of Amanda and Charlie Andella, cherished son of the late Henry J. and Doris (Loder) Andella, Sr., dear brother of Diane Koytila & her husband Marty of Tewksbury, Eugene Andella & his wife Donna of Weymouth and the late Rodney Andella. Jimmy is also survived by his special cousin, Louis Andella of Reading, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather for a Funeral Service at the Abundant Life Christian Church, 173 Church St., (Rte. 62), Wilmington, on Saturday, November 10th at 1:00 p.m.

Matthew W. Goodland, “Matty”, age 27, a life-long resident of Wilmington, passed away on November 13, 2018, from injuries sustained in an auto accident.

Matthew was the cherished son of William C. and Ellen (Kendricken) Goodland, beloved brother of Stephanie Goodland all of Wilmington. Dear grandson of the late William & Jean Kendricken and the late William & Irene Goodland. Special nephew of William & Janice Kendricken, Mary Jane Callahan, John & Maria Kendricken, Wayne & Adrianna Goodland, James Goodland and Cynthia Goodland. Matthew is also survived by many loving cousins and friends as well as his special friend Monica.

Mary V. (Semerjian) Doherty, age 86, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on September 1st, 2018. Beloved wife of 65 years to George L. Doherty of Wilmington, loving and devoted mother of Brian L. Doherty & his wife Christy of St. Petersburg, Florida and Theresa A. Doherty of Wilmington and the late Catherine & George, Jr. Mary was cherished and loved by her grandchildren George Joseph, Colleen Ann & Jennifer Mary Carroll of Wilmington and Brian Hanright Doherty of Sarasota, Florida. Mary was the daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Arabajian) Semerjian, dear sister of the late Nassey, Helen and John Semerjian. Mary also leaves behind her cats Tommy & Ellie as well as many friends. Funeral services were held privately at her home on her birthday, September 22. Memorial donations in Mary’s name can be made to the MSPCA @Nevins Farm, Methuen, Massachusetts.

Mary was a graduate of Watertown High School class of 1949. Upon graduation Mary went to work for the John Hancock Insurance Company in Boston where she would meet her future husband George. Mary and George got married in 1953 and settled in Woburn where they would raise their children. They moved to Wilmington in 1984 and continued to establish roots. Mary worked at Winchester Hospital in the Emergency room department for 26 years until her retirement in 1993. Mary enjoyed her retirement which gave her more time to spend with her grandchildren. Mary and George loved to travel, they traveled to the White Mountains, Bar Harbor Maine, Canada, Las Vegas Nevada, California, Arizona, Fort Myers and of course Disney World which Mary enjoyed the most just being together and spending time with family. Mary also enjoyed their many trips to Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun. She loved spending time in her yard gardening. Mary also was very active and involved with her grandchildren, whether it was taking them to practice, or a school event, she was always there. Mary also loved her pets.

Services were officiated by Father Early of St. Thomas Church at home on her birthday. At her request she wanted a private service at her home with her loving family and friends and devoted caregivers and of course her beloved pets.

William H. Woods, Jr., “Salvi”, age 51, of Lowell, formerly a long-time resident of Wilmington, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on November 15, 2018. Salvi was the beloved husband of Eileen M. (McMahon) Woods, devoted father of Casey and Patrick Woods all of Lowell. Cherished son of the late William H. Sr. “Billy” and Sheila (McKinney) Woods, dear brother of Mary-Alice Cavens & her late husband Joseph of Rowley, Eileen M. Woods and Daniel E. Woods both of Wilmington. Loving Uncle of Megan & Nick Manent and Erin & Max Thomas as well as many other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Son-in-law of Claire and the late James McMahon, brother-in-law Kathleen & David Sullivan, James & Linda McMahon, Brian & Debbie McMahon, Kevin, Maureen and Michael McMahon. Salvi is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Thomas H. Deechan, Jr., “Tom”, age 71, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2018. Tom was the beloved husband of Ann (Morgan) Deechan, devoted father of Alison (Deechan) Hajj & her husband James of Methuen and Thomas H. Deechan III of Wilmington. Loving “Papa” of Brooke Gill, cherished son of Marie (Blair) Deechan and the late Thomas Deechan of Falmouth, dear brother of Ann Reinhagen of California, Bill Deechan & his wife Deb of West Yarmouth, Kathy Roberts & her husband Glenn of Florida and the late Debbie Deechan. Tom is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Louise Russo

Louise Russo (Nardo), age 87, a long-time resident of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2018, surrounded by her loving family.

Louise was born and raised in Lawrence, MA; she was the cherished daughter of the late Anthony and Josephine Nardo. Louise attended Lawrence Public Schools and was a graduate of Lawrence High School. Louise went on to continue her education by earning her certificate as a Licensed Practical Nurse from the Tewksbury State Hospital Nursing program and graduated with her degree as a Registered Nurse from Northern Essex College.

Louise started a long and rewarding career in the nursing field; she was employed at the Tewksbury State Hospital for over 30 years; through hard work she worked her way up to the Charge Nurse for her unit. Louise thought of her job as “a calling”; she was very knowledgeable in her field and was an excellent caregiver to her patients as well as their families. Louise treated everyone with kindness, compassion, respect and most of all love; her patients and their families became her “extended family”. She received several commendations for her excellent care towards others; to this day she still receives countless cards and notes from former co-workers, patients and their families still letting her know how much she was respected, appreciated and loved. Louise was also known to continue her nursing outside of work; she helped many relatives, friends and neighbors that were in need of care throughout her life.

On April 2, 1950, Louise married the “love of her life” John Russo; the couple lived in Tewksbury for several years before moving to Wilmington where they resided for over 50 years. Louise and John had a wonderful life together; they raised three beautiful children and enjoyed being grandparents to six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Louise showered her family with unconditional love and support; she cherished the time they spent together and the many holidays and special occasions they shared throughout the years. Louise was an amazing cook who looked forward to making her families “favorite dishes” and having them around her dinner table. Louise also enjoyed traveling with her husband, family and friends; everyone always had a great time when they were with Louise.

Louise loved music of all kinds but she especially loved listening to classical and opera pieces. She had a beautiful voice, she loved to sing and play the piano and violin.

She was an active member of the Unitarian Universalist Church; she taught Sunday School, sang in the choir and loved her retreats to Star Island in the Isle of Shoals.

Louise was the beloved wife of 68 years to John Russo, devoted mother of Linda Aspeslagh of Amesbury & her partner Tim Regan, Leslie Champoux & her late husband Bart of Belchertown and Michael Russo & wife Peggy of North Chelmsford. Loving “Nana” of Kenneth & Rachel Aspeslagh, Glen & Sothy Aspeslagh, Kristen Champoux, Michael Russo, Kerry & Ron Yost, Wendy & Larry Johnson and Great-Grandchildren Tabitha, Sonja, Nicholas, Sam, Heidi, Liana, Natalia, Lillian, Madden, Morgan, Ayla and Avery. Cherished daughter of the late Anthony and Josephine (Lomastro) Nardo, dear sister of Rose Turton of Woburn, the late James Nardo and Mary Tarallo.

Family and friends will gather at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 38), Wilmington, on Tuesday, November 27th for visitation from 10:30-11:30 a.m. immediately followed by a Funeral Service at 11:30 a.m.

Patricia was the beloved wife of the late Frank Vincent Carlino, devoted mother of Jessica Carlino & Michael Kelley, Sarah Carlino & Nick Pepper, April Carlino & Michael Labrecque all of Wilmington and Trisha Carlino & Jesse Cunningham of Lowell, loving grandmother of the late Ava Grace and Emma Rose Kelley, cherished daughter of the late William J. and Helen (McMaster) Sullivan, dear sister of Billy & Maura Sullivan of Litchfield, NH, Karen Taverna & Joe Lepera of Belmont and Kelly & Brett Ramsdell of Brentwood, NH. Patricia is survived by her extended family including Carol Beagen, Debbie Anemoduris, John & Colleen Carlino, Michael & Andrea Carlino, Nancy Wheeler, the late Frankie Carlino, Mary Carlino, many loving nieces & nephews, as well as her dogs Maggie, Sugar, Vinny, the late Romeo and her cat, the late Julie.

Family and friends will gather at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, on Thursday, November 29th at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Dorothy’s Church, Main St. (Rte. 38), Wilmington at 10:00 a.m. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Visiting Hours will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 28th from 4:00-7:00 p.m.

Patricia (Mullaney) Boulton

Patricia Ann Boulton (Mullaney), age 83, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully at home on November 29, 2018.

Pat was born on June 13, 1935; she was the dear daughter of John, Sr. and Irene Mullaney. Pat was raised and educated in Waltham and a graduate of St. Charles of Borromeo High School in Waltham where she was taught by the Sisters of St. Joseph. She had many close friends . Pat known as “Patsy” was raised in a large and loving family who enjoyed spending every summer at York Beach Maine with her sister Dot, Robert , mother and family members. Throughout her life Pat loved going to the beach and Nubble light. It was her happy place.

In June of 1958, Pat married the “love of her life” Dick Boulton; the couple raised three wonderful children, Michael, Maria and Beth; they also cherished their time as grandparents to Jessica and Gerard. Pat was very domestic and an excellent homemaker. Pat was very devoted to her family and she always showered them with unconditional love.

Pat and Dick moved to Wilmington in 1966 and she soon became involved in the community, was very involved in Marriage Encounter Program and St. Thomas of Villanova Church for many years. Pat was a woman of great faith; she was kind, caring and gentle towards others, for over 25 years Pat brought communion to the sick and elderly throughout the community. She also volunteered at local nursing homes, mainly the Wilmington Health Care Center (CareOne) where she also brought communion and visited with patients every Thursday. Pat’s generosity of her time and talents did not go unnoticed and she was recognized by the town of Wilmington for her unwavering Community Service.

Pat’s kindness did not stop with people; she had an infinity for animals especially her cats and she loved all dogs especially her beloved Bamba and Snoopy. She fed and cared for the local stray cats on her street, worked to have them spayed and vaccinated, mostly two, her beloved Whiskers and Ferra , with Ferra becoming her indoor pet for many years.

Pat remained very active throughout her life; she looked forward to going to the Wilmington Senior Center where she participated in their many activities and exercise classes. She also enjoyed the long walks she took with her husband Dick around town.

Pat will be fondly remembered for her love of music, her endearing personality, and great sense of humor; she was always up for an “adventure” with her family and friends no matter where it took them. Pat was very sweet; she was always smiling and happy; her upbeat personality always made others around her just as happy.

Pat was a “giver”; throughout her life she was always doing for others and loved every minute of it. She was there to lend a hand or an ear to her family, friends, neighbors or anyone in the community that was in need of her help. Pat was truly a “one of a kind” lady who will forever be loved and missed by all who knew her.

Pat was the beloved wife of Richard C. “Dick” Boulton, devoted mother of Michael W. Boulton & his long-time companion Chuck Clark of Merrimack, NH, Maria T. DeMont & husband Frank of Hanson, MA and Elizabeth A. Duncan & husband David of Merrimack, NH, loving Nana of Jessica and Gerard DeMont, cherished daughter of the late John J. Mullaney, Sr. and Irene M. (Arsenault) Mullaney, dear sister of the late John J. Mullaney, Jr. & late wife Hilda, the late Dorothy M. Pratt & husband Robert and the late sister Rita Mullaney. Pat was also the special aunt to many nieces and nephews including the late Thomas Mullaney , and Godmother to the late John Mullaney, III. , the late PJ Pierce and is further survived by many cousins and friends.

Family and friends will gather at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, MA on Tuesday, December 4th at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Dorothy’s Church, Main St. (Rte. 38), Wilmington at 10:00 a.m. Interment Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington. Visiting Hours will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday, December 3rd from 4:00-8:00 p.m.

Robert M. Carbone “Bob”, age 77, of Wilmington, passed away on December 1, 2018, at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington.

Bob was the beloved husband of Susanne (Powers) Carbone, devoted father of Robert Carbone II & his wife Alisa of Groveland and Michelle Carbone & her partner Darryl Evans of Nashua, NH, Loving “Papa” of Leo Alexander Carbone. Cherished son of the late Ralph and Carmela (Russo) Carbone, dear brother of Ralph Carbone Jr. & his wife Margaret of Magnolia, brother-in-law of Jimmy and Jeanne Powers of Kansas, special uncle of Kerry Carbone, James Powers, Marcia Powers, Sarah Powers and Jeanne Marie & Carl Hermanns, as well as many other nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, MA on Wednesday, December 5th for Visitation from 9:30-11:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Dorothy’s Church, Main St. (Rte. 38), Wilmington at 12:00 noon. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington.

Bob proudly served in the United States Air Force and was the District Manager for Mr. Donut and Dunkin Donuts for over 30 years.

He was active in his community as a member of the Wilmington Lions club as well as a 4th Degree Knight with the Fr. Croke Council Knights of Columbus.

Bob was also very proud of being a member of the Jack Daniels Tennessee Squires.

Angela M. (Alessi) Higgins, age 76, formerly of Waltham, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on December 3, 2018, at the Life Care Center in Stoneham.

Angela was born in Boston, MA on November 25, 1942; she was the cherished daughter of the late Paul and Rita (Caruso) Alessi.

Angela is survived by her beloved sister Patricia Alessi Ventura of Reading, her daughter Patricia Goodro of Webster, she was the loving aunt of Richard and Nicole Ventura and great-aunt of Angelina and Nicolas Ventura. Angela is also survived by her long-time companion Joseph O’Connell of Waltham as well as cousins and friends.

Family and friends will gather at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, on Thursday, December 6th at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 126 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place in the family lot at Wildwood Cemetery in Wilmington.

Frances G. Marden (Wren), “Fran”, age 90, a long-time resident of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2018.

Fran was the devoted mother of Cynthia Tanner & her husband Daniel of Texas and Nancy McGrail & her husband William of Stoneham and Meredith, NH. Loving “Grammy” of Justin McGrail of Boston, Mallory Phillips & husband Dominique, Harrison Tanner, Benjamin Tanner and great-grandson Damien Phillips all of Texas. Cherished daughter of the late Chester and Esther (Greene) Wren, dear sister of Donn Wren of Florida, Catherine Bockstruck of Godfrey, IL, the late Merrill, Merle and Carl Wren. Fran is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, on Saturday, December 8th for Visitation from 10:00-11:30 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 11:30 a.m.
